BRISTOL, Tenn. – Ben Delisle led the King University men's soccer team to a pair of wins last week, scoring three goals. On Wednesday, his performance earned him Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Player of the Week honors.
He started by tallying the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over North Greenville University on Tuesday, coming in the 41st minute. He followed that with a pair of goals on Saturday at the University of Mount Olive, his first career multi-goal game. Delisle opened the scoring in the 11th minute to put the Tornado ahead. The Montreal, Quebec, Canada native then came away with a steal and beat the keeper one-on-one in the 28th minute to stretch the King lead to 3-0. The Tornado defeated Mount Olive 4-1, their first win over the Trojans since 2011.
The Tornado are in action again on Wednesday night at USC Aiken. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
