BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's soccer team opened Conference Carolinas play against Emmanuel College on Saturday afternoon at Parks Field. However, the game went into a lightning delay 30 minutes into the game, and the contest was eventually canceled.

For a match to be considered complete, 70 minutes has to be played. As the delay continued, it became apparent that it wasn't realistic to complete the 70 minutes so the contest was called. The game will not be made up due to conference policy.

King will be in action again on Wednesday when they host Tusculum University at 4:30 p.m.
