Multiple wins for King swimmers at WWC

SWANNANOA, N.C. - The King College swim team ended the fall portion of the schedule Saturday with the men and women winning at Warren Wilson (N.C.) College.

Of the 22 events, King swimmers won 17 which helped the Lady Tornado to a 110-67 win and the Tornado to a victory of 109-49.

King won all four of the relay events on a day when no school records were broken.

Michele Donihe (Chattanooga, Tenn.) won the 100-yard and 200 freestyle events. Marcy Hullander (Bristol, Tenn.) swam to the front of the 50 and 100 freestyle races. Grace Bier (Johnson City, Tenn.) was a winner twice, in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. Mason Edmonds (Johnson City, Tenn.) clinched the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly top spots.

Next for King will be the Colonel Classic Jan. 14-15 in Danville, Ky. at Center College.
