BRISTOL, Tenn. – Simen Vik had another big weekend for the King University men's swimming team. He set another school recorded and was selected Conference Carolinas Swimmer of the Week.
Vik set a new school record in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:56.56. He later came within 0.2 off the 200 yard butterfly school record with a time of 1:57.89, winning the event by 12 seconds. Vik finished second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:46.33. The Sandnes, Rogaland, Norway native capped the meet by helping the 400 yard medley relay team finish second with a time of 3:38.81.
This marks the first time Vik has been selected Conference Carolinas Swimmer of the Week.
The Tornado are in action again on November 16-18 at the Fall Frenzy Invitational at the Mecklenburg Municipal Pool in Charlotte, N.C.
