King-Milligan tennis to play Sept. 28

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The King College men's and women's tennis matches with Milligan (Tenn.) College will be played Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. at Milligan after being postponed earlier in the month.

King was scheduled to host Milligan Saturday, but rain forced the change. Also changing will be the spring meeting between the two, moving from Milligan to King on March 23.

The Tornado and Lady Tornado will travel to the Mars Hill (N.C.) College Fall Invitational Saturday. The event will begin in the morning and last all day with numerous teams playing.

King started the 2010-11 season with the Tornado and Lady Tornado both having a 2-0 record. King has victories over Emory & Henry (Va.) College and Bluefield (Va.) College.

In 2009-10, the Tornado was 9-0 and 5-0 victors over Milligan pushing King's winning streak to five against the former Appalachian Athletic Conference foe. King split a pair of matches on the women's side with Milligan, losing the first 6-3 before a 5-1 win.
