BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Conference Carolinas Tennis Championship starts this weekend, and on Wednesday the league announced their academic all-conference performers. The King University tennis team had three men earn academic all-conference honors and one woman.
On the men's side, Alejandro Feliciano, Lenny Keswani and Charles Jabaley all earned academic all-conference honors. Feliciano owns a 3.69 GPA and is 11-10 in singles play, including a 7-3 mark in Conference Carolinas play. He is also 11-9 in doubles play, compiling an 11-7 at No. 1 doubles.
Keswani carries a 3.78 GPA and has played primarily at No. 1 singles, posting a 12-4 record at the top flight. He owns an overall singles record of 17-7, including a 7-2 record in league play. In doubles, he owns a 14-9 mark. Jabaley has a 3.80 GPA and has posted Conference Carolinas doubles record of 7-3.
For the women, senior Catherine Vezey was selected academic all-conference as she owns a GPA of 3.95.
Conference Carolinas academic all-conference teams are comprised of junior and senior student-athletes who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution.
The Tornado men are the sixth seed in the Conference Carolinas Championship and will face third seed Chowan University on Friday at 12:00 p.m. at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
