BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship starts on Friday, and Thursday night the league announced their all-conference winners. The King University men's tennis team had three players honored, Lenny Keswani, Lennard Neumann and Alejandro Feliciano.
Keswani was selected first team all-conference the first time in his career and earns all-conference accolades for the second time. The Rumst, Belgium native played primarily at No. 1 singles, posting a 12-4 record at the top flight. Keswani went 17-7 overall with a 7-2 record against Conference Carolinas competition. In doubles play, he went 14-9, posting a 7-2 mark against Conference Carolinas foes. He played at both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, posting a record of 4-2 at the third flight.
Neumann earned second team all-conference honors, a season after he was selected as part of an all-conference doubles team. This season the Bad Honnef, Germany native went 17-7 in singles play, including a mark of 8-2 in Conference Carolinas play. He primarily played at No. 2 singles, posing a record of 11-5 there. In doubles play he posted an 11-9 record while going 5-5 in conference play. He played at No. 1 doubles, going 11-7 at the top flight.
Feliciano hails from Wesley Chapel, Fla., and was selected third team all-conference for the first time in his career. Feliciano played at the top four flights in singles, going 9-4 at the third flight. He posted an overall singles record of 11-10, going 7-3 against Conference Carolinas foes. In doubles play, Feliciano posted an 11-9 record, including a 5-5 mark in conference play. He played at No. 1 doubles with Neumann, posting a record of 11-7.
The Tornado are the sixth seed in the Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Championship and will face third seed Chowan University on Friday at 12:00 p.m. at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
