Tornado top UVa-Wise in season finale

WISE, Va. – The King University men's tennis team closed the season with a win at UVa-Wise. The Tornado won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point before winning all six singles matches, taking the dual 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • At No. 1 doubles, Alejandro Feliciano and Jorge Rojas defeated Coleton Burke and Luke Jarnigin 6-1.
  • Charles Jabaley and Sebastian Lieflaender defeated Dominic Hoffman and John Hamilton 6-0 at the second flight.
  • At the third flight, Arturo Alfaro and Nathan Snow topped Daniel Laughlin and Jakub Blach 6-1.
  • In singles play, Lennard Neumann defeated Burke 6-0, 6-0 at the top flight and Alfaro topped Hoffman 6-0, 6-0 at the second flight.
  • Rojas clinched the win for King with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Jarnagin at the third flight.
  • Jabaley defeated Hamilton 8-0 at No. 4 singles while Snow topped Laughlin 8-1 at No. 5 singles.
  • Lieflaender made it a 7-0 King victory with an 8-0 win over Blach at the sixth flight.
