WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – This weekend's Hilton Garden Invitational allowed multiple King athletes to keep warm despite the snowy outdoor conditions. Hannah Witt and Spencer Frantom heightened the temperature around the tracks with blazing speeds in their respective events to bring victory and topple school records. Multiple members of both Tornado teams set new personal records in their final meet before the first-ever Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Junior Hannah Witt (Mountain City, Tenn.) earned a victory in the women's 5,000-meter run and at the same time surpassed the provisional national qualifying mark.
