Tornado compete at Liberty Kickoff

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The King University men's track & field team put together a few good performances at the Liberty Kickoff of Friday and Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Adriel McPhee finished the 60 meter hurdles in 8.60 seconds, placing him 15th in a deep NCAA Division I field.
  • In the shot put, Braidon Miller finished 24 with a mark of 14.26 meters.
  • TJ McMurray wasn't far behind with a personal record mark of 13.41 meters in the shot put.
  • Blaine Metcalf had a big weekend, covering the 800 meter distance in 2:02.17.
  • He then finished the 3,000 meter run in 9:23.93.

  • King is in action again on Friday and Saturday at the Buccaneer Track & Field Invitational in Johnson City.
