King throwers lead the way at Beynon Sports Catamount Classic

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – In their last meet before the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the King University men's track and field team had a solid weekend at the Beynon Sports Catamount Classic. The throwers highlighted the action for the Tornado.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • TJ McMurray finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.49 meters while John Jablonski finished 11th with a mark of 12.35 meters.
  • Jablonski finished seventh in the hammer throw with a toss of 46.46 meters, and McMurray finished ninth at 43.59 meters.
  • In the 800 meter run, Brandon Bejarano finished 13th with a time of 2:01.33.
  • Deshaun Stevens posted a personal record in the long jump with a leap of 6.42 meters.
  • In the 400 meter hurdles, Stevens finished fourth with a time of 58.57 seconds.
  • Kyle Hart finished the 1500 meter run in 4:24.13.
