King has solid meet at Finn Pincus Invitational

ROANOKE, Va. – The King University track & field teams competed on Friday and Saturday at the Finn Pincus Imitational and had some solid performances in the season debut.

HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN

  • Katy Neubert came in with a runner-up finish in the 600 meter dash with a time of 1:40.41.
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of Neubert, Whitney Christian, Katilin Rivera and Meg Davis finished sixth with a time of 4:26.21.
  • In the 60 meter dash, Larynn Clopton qualified for the semifinals and finished 16th with a time of 8.29 seconds.

HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN

  • Brandon Bejarano finished sixth in the 600 meter dash with a time of 1:28.28.
  • Jakob Allison had a solid first meet, finishing the 1000 meter run in 2:46.01 to finish 11th.

  • King is in action again on January 31 and February 1 at the Buccaneer Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn.
