Tornado overtaken at Lees-McRae

BANNER ELK, N.C. - King College suffered a 3-0 setback at Conference Carolinas foe Lees-McRae (N.C.) College Tuesday in men's volleyball action.

King went to 4-4 on the season with a 1-2 conference record while Lees-McRae has a 5-6 overall record with a 1-1 record in league play.

All three set scores had similar 25-18 results.

Alex Oliveria (Goiania, Brazil) collected six of King's 21 kills in the match. Jeff Boslett (St. Louis, Mo.) provided 21 assists while James Friddle (Cartersville, Ga.) led the dig category with four. Friddle added three total blocks.

It was the first time King had been swept this season.

Next for King will be another Conference Carolinas contest, this time Pfeiffer (N.C.) University comes for a 4 p.m. match on Feb. 19.
