BRISTOL, Tenn. – Freshman Nick Serowski has been named a National Freshman of the Week Honorable Mention by Off the Block, a website devoted to covering collegiate men's volleyball.

Serowski had a match-high 18 kills, which tied his career-best mark, in King's sweep of conference foe Belmont Abbey College on the road this Saturday. His impressive kill total included two on King set points. He also had an ace, four digs, a solo block, and a block assist in the match.

Serowski has been stellar for the Tornado during his freshman campaign. The Moore, Okla. native has a .217 attack percentage through ten matches and leads the team with 137 kills. He has reached double figures in kills eight times this season and has registered at least 16 kills on five different occasions. Serowski is also third on the team with 16 blocks this season from his outside hitter position.

He has helped the team to a 6-4 record so far this season, including a 3-2 mark inside league play. The Tornado will return to action on Tuesday night as they travel to Conference Carolinas rival Lees-McRae College. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
