BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's volleyball team opened the season against good competition over the week, and Kiel Bell had a great weekend for the Tornado. He set a pair of career-highs, earning him Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors.
The Boca Raton, Fla., native helped lead King to a 3-1 victory over McKendree University with a then career-high 15 kills to go along with five digs. Bell followed that with his first double-double of the season and fifth of his career against UC San Diego. In the match he eclipsed his career-high in kills, posting 17 terminations and added a career-best 13 digs. For the weekend he averaged 3.18 kills and 2.09 digs per set.
Bell and the Tornado return to action on January 18 when they host Alderson Broaddus University at 7:00 p.m.
