HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – In their final tune-up before the Conference Carolinas Championship, the King University men's cross country team finished 29th at the 12th Annual Sand Shark Invitational. The Tornado were led by Blaine Metcalf.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Metcalf led the way for the Tornado, finishing in 29:14.9.
  • Justin Stewart crossed the tape next, coming in at 30:35.7.
  • Coming in next for King was Kade McDonald who finished in 31:13.3.
  • Not far behind was Brandon Bejarano who crossed the line in 31:46.3.
  • Tyler Edwards and Braydon Ragsdale rounded out the team, finishing in 32:23.4 and 33:21.7, respectively.

FOR THE FOES

  • Embry-Riddle University won the meet while Florida Southern College finished second.
  • Bethune-Cookman University had the top two runners as Daniel Kiptoo finished first with a time of 25:03.9.

  • King takes the course in Mount Olive, N.C. for the Conference Carolinas Championship on November 3.
