Metcalf leads King at the Wingfoot Classic

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – The King University men's cross country team took to the course for the second time this season on Friday at the Wingfoot Classic. The Tornado finished ninth and were led by Blaine Metcalf.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Metcalf finished 40th with a time of 27:34.5.
  • Kyle Hart crossed the tape next for the Tornado with a time of 27:55.7.
  • Coming in next was Kade McDonald with a time of 28:26.9.
  • Josh Booher finished in 28:39.0.
  • Jake Allison and Jesus Pacheco followed for the Tornado with times of 29:40.0 and 29:46.8.
  • Mason Thomas was the final Tornado to cross the finish line with a time of 30:52.1.

FOR THE FOES

  • The University of South Alabama finished first, followed by Samford University and SCAD Savannah.
  • Tusculum University was the top NCAA Division II team, finishing fourth.
  • Dillon Dean of Samford won the individual title with a time of 24:59.8.
