King finishes 19th at NCAA SE Regional

WINGATE, N.C. – The King University men's cross country team finished 19th at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship on Saturday morning. The Tornado were led by Blaine Metcalf.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Metcalf led the Tornado, finishing in a personal record time of 35:23.6.
  • Kade McDonald crossed the tape next for the Tornado with a personal best time of 35:29.1, topping his previous best by nearly six minutes.
  • Coming in next was Josh Booher who came in with a time of 36:08.4.
  • Jake Allison crossed the finish line in 37:07.3.
  • Brandon Bejarano set a personal record, finishing in 38:18.2.

FOR THE FOES

  • Queens University won the regional while August University finished second the University of Mount Olive took third.
  • Joshua Chepkesir won the individual title with a time of 30:30.7.
