Brabson signs with King Softball

BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College has signed Kendall Brabson to join the Lady Tornado softball team.

Brabson comes to King from Walters State Community (Tenn.) College where she was a two-time All-TCCAA selection. She also made it to the TCCAA All-Academic team both in 2009 and 2010. Brabson added an all-region selection in 2009.

At Rutledge High, she was a four-time all-conference selection and first-team all-district tournament four times. Brabson was named to the All-Northeast Tennessee and Prep-Extra teams. Along with softball she lettered in volleyball and basketball all four years at Rutledge.

In addition to her softball honors she was nominated for the English and creative writing honors at Walters State. Brabson also had material published in the Walters State literary magazine. She also was the Walters State Female Athlete Scholastic Award winner.

King finished the 2010 season with a trip to the NCCAA World Series where the team finished tied for fifth. The Lady Tornado posted a record of 22-17 which was the third straight 20-win season in the program's six-year history.
