Lady Tornado moves up in NCAA DII Women's Basketball stats

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - King College kept seven Top-100 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Stat Rankings, as announced by the national office.

The biggest mover of the week was in the team's free throw percentage as King went to No. 32, a 31 spot climb. The Lady Tornado posted a 74.5 free throw percentage in the newest report.

Part of the rise in the team free throw percentage was Ashley Deans (Greeneville, Tenn.) at No. 9 in the individual category. Her 88.5 mark at the line moved her up a dozen places. Deans also ranked No. 71 in scoring with a 16.5 points per game average, a 26 spot climb, and No. 84 in field goal percentage at 46.8.

Derika Mooney (Athens, Tenn.) stole the No. 75 spot in steals per game with a 2.4 average and passed her way to No. 96 in assists per game with 3.9.

King moved to No. 71 in assists per game with a 14.5 average.

The Lady Tornado defeated North Greenville (S.C.) University Tuesday to improve to 8-15 on the season. Next on the schedule will be a trip to Young Harris (Ga.) College for a 2 p.m. contest Saturday.
