King moves within NCAA DII Women's Basketball Stat Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - King College's duo of Ashley Deans and Derika Mooney combined for five individual Top-100 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball stat rankings, as announced by the national office.

Deans (Greeneville, Tenn.) improved to No. 19 in free throw percentage with a 86.7 mark. Despite the percentage going down slightly Deans improved by three spots. Her 46.4 field goal percentage was new this week at No. 91. Her scoring average of 15.8 points per game landed Deans at No. 94 nationally.

Mooney (Athens, Tenn.) saw her steals per game average climb to 2.6 which bumped her up to No. 64 in the ranking. She added the No. 95 spot in the assists per game ranking by averaging 4.0.

King held onto two team rankings in the Top-100 led by the No. 62 spot in free throw percentage with a 72.5 mark. The Lady Tornado's 14.2 assists per game had the team at No. 86.

The Lady Tornado, at 6-14 on the season, will welcome the University of the District of Columbia to Bristol for a 6 p.m. contest on Feb. 3. King was upended at District of Columbia 66-62 on Jan. 8.
