BRISTOL, Tenn. – Prior to the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship semifinal games, the league held a banquet to honor their all-conference performers. Trinity Lee was selected second team all-conference while Kori West garnered third team honors.
Lee earns second team All-Conference Carolinas honors a year after earning freshman of the year accolades. The Knoxville, Tenn., native ranks seventh the in the Southeast Region with a 49.3 field goal percentage. Her 40.3 three-point field goal percentage ranks fifth in Conference Carolinas. Lee led the Tornado in minutes played and ranked eighth in Conference Carolinas in field goal, points and a 13.7 points per game average. She started the season by scoring her career-high of 20 points in the first three games. She reached that mark one more time during the season.
West earns all-conference honors for the second time in her career, the other was in 2018 when she was selected to the second team. The Shelby, N.C., native ranks 10th in Southeast Region in total rebounds and rebounds per game and she posted 10 double-doubles this season. West was a force down low as she ranked fifth in Conference Carolinas in total rebounds and with an average of 9.6 rebounds per game. Her 26 blocks ranked second in the league. West scored more than 20 points five times, including a season-high of 27 twice. She also snared a season-high 19 rebounds at Emmanuel College.
West closes her career with 1,060 points in 99 career games where she shot 48.9 percent from the floor. She also grabbed 817 rebounds for an average of 8.3 boards per game.
