Swallow named Conference Carolinas Golf of the Month

BRISTOL, Tenn. – After winning her first tournament of the season, King University's Elizabeth Swallow was named Conference Carolinas Women's Golfer of the Month. The junior led won the Hilton Head Lake Invitational, defeating Laura Bird on the fourth playoff hole.

Swallow led the Tornado to a second place finish at the Hilton Head Lakes Invitational while earning individual medalist honors. In the first round, the Berkshire, England native recorded an even-par 72 and finished up the tournament in the second round with a score of 73 for a total of 145, finishing in a tie with UNC Pembroke's Bird. It took four playoff holes, but Swallow finally defeated Bird to take the fifth title of her career.

King will be in action again on March 23-24 at the Wingate Lady Bulldog Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
