Nataf moves into top 10, King in 8th at conference championship

HARTWELL, Ga. – The King University women's golf team shot 329 in the second round of the Conference Carolinas Championship, and remain in eighth place with one round remaining. Roxane Nataf leads the Tornado as she is in seventh place after two rounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Following a 79 in the opening round, Nataf shot 76 in the second round to move up to seventh with a tournament total of 155.
  • Sasha Gardiner improved on an 85 in the opening round to shoot 82 in the second round. She has a tournament total of 167.
  • Morgan Powers followed an 84 in the first round with an 88 in the second round for a total of 172.
  • Shelby Zeiter owns a stroke total of 173 as she improved on an opening round of 90 to shoot 83 in the second round.

FOR THE FOES

  • Limestone College leads the tournament with a score of 305 while the University of Mount Olive is second at 633.
  • Tyler Dawson of Converse College is atop the individual leaderboard with a stroke total of 149.
