Zachlynn Blackburn joins the King track and field coaching staffas a throws coach with the 2010-11 seasons.

She was the leading women's thrower for NCAA Division I EastTennessee State University from 2006 to 2010. Blackburn broke theschool record for both the indoor weight throw and outdoor hammerthrow. She was honored with the Athletic MVP for both the indoorand outdoor season as a senior. Blackburn also was a three-timeIndoor Atlantic Sun Conference Champion in the weight throw,three-time Outdoor Atlantic Sun Conference hammer throw champion.She added a conference championship in the discus during theoutdoor season and placed in the Top-10 in shot put in everyconference championship.

Blackburn has worked with throwing legends such as Youri Sedykh,Mac Wilkins and Natalia Lisovskaya.

She obtained a degree in physical education from East TennesseeState and was a multiple All-Academic winner and made the ETSUDean's List three times. Blackburn also comes as a certified AFAAPersonal Fitness Trainer.

Before East Tennessee State, she graduated from Tazewell (Va.)High School where she also played on the volleyball and basketballteams.
