Morgan rejoined the Tornado staff prior to the 2019-20 season as the head esports coach and athletic communications assistant.
He was an assistant coach for the men's wrestling program for three seasons, 2014-17. That stint followed a standout career where Morgan donned the scarlet and navy, becoming one of the most decorated wrestlers in King history and has helped the Tornado improve over his first two years.
Morgan holds three world records in Mario Kart. He is ranked second “fastest” in America and ninth “fastest” in the World in Mario Kart. He has experience with many different games, including Overwatch, League of Legends, Fortnite and Call of Duty.
Attending King from 2007-12, Morgan helped the men’s wrestling program transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II membership. He qualified for the national championships all four years, twice when King was NAIA members and twice when the Tornado were members of NCAA Division II. He finished his career as an NAIA national finalist and an NCAA Division II All-American. He compiled a total of 100 wins during his career at King and remained undefeated in all home dual matches.
Prior to King, Morgan spent one year as the men’s wrestling coach at his alma mater, Union County High School in Maynardville, Tenn. Morgan also was an assistant coach for the boys wrestling at Sullivan South High School.
Morgan graduated from King in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics.
