King basketball, wrestling contests postponed

BRISTOL, Tenn. With snow and ice moving through the southeast, King University has postponed three athletic events scheduled for Saturday. The King men's and women's basketball teams were scheduled to face Belmont Abbey College on Saturday in the Student Center Complex, but the doubleheader has been postponed. The Tornado men's wrestling team was slated to travel to Belmont Abbey on Saturday, and that dual has been postponed as well. No makeup dates have been announced at this time.

The King women's basketball team is 10-6, 9-1 in Conference Carolinas this season and is coming off of a 64-61 come-from-behind win at the University of Mount Olive. The Tornado men's basketball team owns a 12-5 mark, including 7-2 in league play and fell at Mount Olive on Tuesday night. Both the basketball teams are scheduled to be in action again on Tuesday at Emmanuel College.

The Tornado men's wrestling team is early in their dual schedule, owning a 2-3 record, and is scheduled to be in action again on January 29-30 at the Super Region II Duals hosted by Coker College in Hartsville, S.C.
