Seay takes 5th, leads King at Midwest Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The King University men's wrestling team had three wrestlers that advanced to the second day of the Midwest Classic. Elijah Seay led the Tornado, taking fifth at 197 pounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Seay reached the semifinals on Friday, however, he fell to ninth-ranked Logan Kemp of West Liberty University 7-3.
  • He then dropped a consolation semifinal match before winning his next bout to take fifth.
  • Jacob Wynn and Cade Ridley wrestled in the consolation brackets at 141 and 285 pounds, respectively.
  • However, each dropped their first match to end their tournament.
