BRISTOL, Tenn. – In the third NWCA rankings of the season, the King University men's wrestling team continues to receive votes in the poll. Elijah Seay breaks into the rankings for the first time at 197 pounds.
The Tornado yet to wrestle in a dual this season as they received six votes in the poll and are one of four South Atlantic Conference Carolinas member schools to receive votes. Newberry College received three votes while Belmont Abbey College and Emmanuel College each received two votes.
Seay recently took fifth at the Midwest Classic in December and owns a 7-3 record on the season. At the Midwest Classic, he reached the semifinals with a victory over second-ranked Konnor Schmidt of Western Colorado. Earlier in the season he finished second at the Georgia Open.
Seay and the Tornado return to action on Monday when they host Emmanuel College at 7:00 p.m. in the Student Center Complex.
