King drops final conference dual

GAFFNEY, S.C. - The King University men's wrestling team traveled to Limestone College this evening to compete in their final conference matchup before the region tournament. Limestone took the match by a score of 45-9. Cade Ridley and Cory Collins put together great performances with wins by fall and decision.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • At 157 pounds Collins grabbed the first win for the Tornado. He scored early and maintained a 4-1 victory to give King three needed team points.
  • King forfeited three weights following the 165-pound matchup, leading to the final match of the evening at 285 pounds.
  • Ridley also scored an early takedown and quickly gained two near-fall points. He transitioned immediately after the first near fall and finished with a win by fall in the first period.
