Lady Tornado gives up two first half goals in 2-0 contest to LMU

BRISTOL, Tenn. - King College could not overcome two first half goals as Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University picked up a 2-0 win on the Lady Tornado's Parks Field Wednesday.

Sarah Taylor kicked home both of the visitor's scores as Lincoln Memorial went to 4-0 in 2010. The go-ahead score was in the 25th minute with the next coming in the 36rd. The first one was assisted by Becky Thompson with Leslie Wilson getting the second assist.

In goal for King, Abbey Kitts (Tazewell, Va.) had six saves as Lincoln Memorial had 13 total shots. Lincoln Memorial used Sarah Thompson for the opening 67 minutes in goal before Ashley Wallace replaced her to help keep the shutout.

King recorded five shots in the contest.

The Lady Tornado, now at 0-5, returns to action on Wed., Sept. 22 with a 2:30 contest against Lees-McRae (N.C.) College.
