Tornado fall to Barton 4-1 to end the regular season

BRISTOL, Tenn. – On what was a cloudy and wet day the King University women's soccer team fell on the last game of the season to Barton College 4-1.

RECORDS: King 2-14, 2-9 Conference Carolinas; Barton 9-6-1, 5-5-1 Conference Carolinas


  • Barton took control of the game early with two goals in the first 16 minutes of the game.
  • Syaani Harris scored the first goal for Barton assisted by Laisy Scardazzi in the 14th minute to take the lead 1-0.
  • Scardazzi had a goal of her own in the 16th minute to extend the lead 2-0
  • The Tornado were able to answer with a goal coming from Maggie Olvera, her first goal of the season in the 43rd minute.
  • Barton answered within twenty seconds of the goal by King coming from the foot of Amanda Brata to extend their lead 3-1.
  • The Bulldogs were able to extend their lead one more time in the 56th minute netted by Jordyn Brown.
  • Barton eventually won the game 4-1.


  • Lindsey Dunham records six saves.
  • Erskine outshot King 19-12, placing 13 shots on goal while King recorded four shots on frame.
  • The Tornado had seven corner kicks on the day to the Bulldogs four.


  • King ends their season at 2-14 on the year with both wins coming in conference play.
