King falls to Flying Fleet

DUE WEST, S.C. – The King University women's tennis team dropped a second Conference Carolinas dual in as many days at Erskine College on Saturday afternoon. Erskine took the doubles point and swept singles for the 7-0 victory.

FINAL SCORE: Erskine 7, King 0

RECORDS: King 1-7; Emmanuel 6-7


  • The Flying Fleet took the first doubles match 6-0 and then to the second and third flight 6-2 and 6-1 to take the doubles point.
  • Vanessa Francois nearly beat Katie Loudermilk at No. 2 singles. She would eventually fall 6-3 and 6-0.
  • Morgan Buchanan would close of the match with a tough 6-1 6-2 loss to Hannah Clayton at No. 6 singles.
  • The Flying Fleet would win the rest of the matches to take a 7-0 win over the Tornado


  • King travels to take on Converse College on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
  • Erskine travels to Chowan University on Friday.
