King drops contest against SWU

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team hosted Southern Wesleyan University. The tandem of Isla Bell and Murphy Harr earn a win at No. 3 doubles but King would fall 7-0.

  • Southern Wesleyan started off with back to back wins in doubles play 6-1 and 6-0.
  • At No. 3 doubles Harr and Bell earned a doubles point defeating Alex Golliher and Caitlynn Nixon 6-2.
  • In singles play, Lauren Smorgonsky almost took a set from Iva Jankovic but fell 7-5, 6-1.
  • At No. 5 singles Harr took a set from Gollhier 3-6 but dropped the next two sets 6-3, 6-3.
  • At No. 6 singles Morgan Buchanan took four games from Nixon and nearly came out with a victory but fell 8-4.


  • King hosts North Greenville University at 1:00 p.m. on Friday for their senior day event.
  • Southern Wesleyan travels to Lees-McRae tomorrow.
