BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University women's tennis team closed the fall season with a 6-1 defeat to UVa-Wise.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cavaliers took the doubles point with a 6-0 win at the top flight and a 6-1 victory at the second flight.
- In singles play, UVa-Wise won the top five flights to clinch the match.
- Morgan Buchanan won her No. 6 singles match 8-4 over Olivia Dishner.
- Anna Mincey nearly came from behind to defeat Aya Melhem at No. 3 singles. Mincey dropped the first set 6-0 but won the second set 7-5.
- However, Melhem took the final set 11-9.
UP NEXT
- King is in action again on February 9 when they travel to Carson-Newman University. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
- UVa-Wise takes on Lees-McRae College on Sunday.
