King women's wrestling moves to 6-0

FERRUM, Va. - The King University women's wrestling team continued their dominance this season as they steamroll Ferrum College and East Stroudsburg 42-5 and 39-5. Excluding a forfeit at 101 pounds and one match against ESU, The Tornado managed to win every bout by technical fall or pin.

  • The Tornado would forfeit 101 pounds, then receive forfeits at 109, 116 and 123 pounds.
  • Sisenstein would be the first match between King and Ferrim at 130 pounds. She continued the momentum of the previous match and grabs another win by fall in the first period.
  • She would be followed by Aceval and Gathings at 136 pounds and 143 pounds. Both wrestlers also put together dominate performances with wins by fall in the first period.
  • Ortega and Cancelleri would also not be stopped. Both picked up wins by technical fall in the first period.
  • The final match of the evening was also the fastest. Heidelberg-Tillotson drives the proverbial "final nail in the coffin" with a 36-second pin.
