Antonio “AG” Gaetan joins King University as the Men’s Assistant Volleyball Coach, bringing an exceptional record of achievement in coaching, player development, and program leadership. A native of Puerto Rico, Gaetan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Bayamon Central University and a Master of Arts in Health and Physical Education from Interamerican University. His bilingual fluency in Spanish and English further enhances his ability to connect with and mentor student-athletes from diverse backgrounds.

Gaetan’s coaching career spans more than a decade across Florida and Texas, where he has been instrumental in building successful programs at both the school and club levels. His leadership roles include serving as Physical Education Coach and Head Volleyball Coach at The Awty International School in Houston, as well as Head Coach and Program Director for HVA Volleyball Club. He has also contributed to the NTDP Boys’ Volleyball USA Program and led teams at Water Spring Middle School, Bridgewater Middle School, and elite clubs including Orlando Gold, 352 Volleyball Club, and OBV Volleyball Club. Under his guidance, teams have achieved remarkable success, including national titles at Boys’ Juniors Nationals (2022), Florida Fest (2023), and multiple undefeated AAU seasons.

Nationally recognized for his excellence, Gaetan has received honors such as AVCA Diversity Coach of the Year (2023), USAV Hall of Fame Boys Indoor Coach of the Year (2023), and USA Florida Region Coach of the Year (2020). His coaching philosophy centers on holistic athlete development, emphasizing academic achievement, nutrition, and sportsmanship alongside athletic performance. Additionally, Gaetan’s experience with the Orlando Magic NBA organization as a back-up development player and training program designer underscores his broad expertise in athlete preparation and staff development.

At King University, Coach Gaetan is dedicated to cultivating a competitive, disciplined, and supportive team culture. His proven ability to recruit, develop, and inspire players will be pivotal in advancing the men’s volleyball program and driving the Tornado to new heights.
