Ilysia Y. Ibnu, a former collegiate golfer with experience in university communications, academic support, and NCAA competition, joined King University in the fall of 2026 as the Graduate Assistant for both the Men’s and Women’s Golf programs. She brings a strong blend of leadership, analytical ability, and student-athlete experience to the Tornado golf staff while pursuing her second degree at King.
In her role at King, Ibnu assists with daily program operations, practice planning, player development, and team logistics. Her multi-year collegiate playing career provides valuable insight into competitive preparation, discipline, and team culture—perspectives she now applies to supporting King’s student-athletes.
Before joining King, Ibnu spent nearly three years at Bellevue University as a Communication Center Associate, where she improved customer experience metrics and streamlined communication workflows. She later served as a Business Tutor, helping students analyze cases, apply business theories, and strengthen foundational concepts through individualized learning plans.
Ibnu has also completed several professional development certifications, including the New York Jobs CEO Council Financial Analyst Simulation, JPMorgan Chase’s Markets (Sales & Trading) Virtual Experience Program, and a Business Analysis & Process Management certification. These experiences strengthened her analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to evaluate complex organizational challenges.
Her playing career includes four standout seasons at Bellevue University, where she earned First Team All-NSAA honors from 2021–25 and received the Champion of Character Award in 2024 and 2025. She later continued her career at Charleston Southern University, competing at the NCAA Division I level while completing her Bachelor of Human and Social Science.
Ibnu most recently lived in North Charleston, South Carolina, before transitioning to King University to begin her graduate studies and coaching career.
