Jarrett Joles is in his first year as the Director of Esports at King University, where he brings proven leadership, operational expertise, and analytical training to the Tornado Esports program. Since joining King’s staff in September 2025, Joles has established a forward-thinking vision focused on program growth, competitive development, and student-athlete success.

In his role, Joles oversees the strategic direction of King Esports, including recruitment, roster management, scholarship administration, and competitive planning. He supervises coaches and student staff, coordinates practice and competition schedules, manages the esports facility and technology infrastructure, and ensures compliance with university and league regulations. Additionally, Joles leads outreach efforts, cultivating relationships with esports leagues, industry partners, and campus departments to strengthen King’s presence in collegiate esports.

Before his transition into collegiate esports, Joles built extensive experience in high-pressure operational environments. From 2017 to 2018, he served as a Line Service Technician at Wilson Air Center in Chattanooga, supporting both military and civilian aircraft with responsibilities ranging from fueling and towing to cargo handling and safety inspections. From 2019 to 2021, Joles managed Valet Services for Omega Parking Services, where he supervised operations, trained staff, and emphasized customer satisfaction, safety, and efficient service.

These experiences shaped Joles’ approach to esports administration, reinforcing his strengths in communication, leadership, critical thinking, and strategic decision-making. He brings a competitive, performance-driven mindset to King Esports, grounded in his academic background in Security & Intelligence and his professional experience managing complex systems. Joles emphasizes accountability, adaptability, and ethical leadership, fostering a team culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement. His strategic approach incorporates data-driven evaluation, structured development plans, and a commitment to supporting student-athletes both competitively and academically.

A native of East Tennessee, Joles earned his Bachelor of Science in Security & Intelligence from King University, where he developed skills in analysis, research evaluation, and intelligence interpretation—foundations that directly inform his coaching and administrative leadership within the esports program.
