King University Athletics announced in November 2025 that Joye Levendusky, a decorated athlete and experienced coach, has joined the Tornado staff as Strength and Conditioning Coach. Levendusky brings a dynamic background in athletic performance, coaching, and wellness development, and will oversee the training and conditioning of King’s student-athletes.
“Joye brings a high level of excellence and expertise with the right balance of faith integration and whole-person development that made her a perfect fit to lead our strength and conditioning program,” said Vice President of Athletics Jose Larios. “Joye gets it, and we’re so excited to have her serving our student-athletes.”
Levendusky earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Sports Performance with a minor in Sports Psychology and is currently pursuing her MBA. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Sports Nutrition Coach. Over the past four years, she has coached more than 80 clients as a remote health coach and worked as a personal trainer, helping athletes and individuals of all backgrounds achieve their goals.
As a competitor, Levendusky is a senior-level wrestler for Team USA, a five-time All-American, three-time national finalist, U.S. Open Champion, and Team USA National Team member. She also competed in multiple sports growing up, including soccer, diving, track and field, and wrestling, giving her a well-rounded perspective as both an athlete and coach.
Her coaching career includes serving as assistant coach and later head coach of the women’s wrestling program at Southern Oregon University, where she also directed the team’s strength and conditioning program.
“My goal is to help our student-athletes become not only great competitors but also great people, which I believe is the true purpose of college athletics,” Levendusky said. “Doing what others will not is the mindset I want to instill in the athletes at King.”
In her role at King, Levendusky will be responsible for designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs across all varsity teams, fostering a culture of relentless effort, intentional excellence, and people-first leadership.
