Shaw joined the Tornado staff through our partnership with Holston Medical Group in 2022 following eight years as an outreach athletic trainer at Houston Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. Prior to that, he was the head athletic trainer at Wharton Independent School District in Texas.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University in 2012. He is also a certified personal trainer and holds licenses in both Tennessee and Texas. He also holds an emergency medical technician (EMT-B) certification.
