Box Score GAFFNEY, S.C. – With the season winding to an end, every match is important in terms of seeding for the Conference Carolinas Tournament, and the King University women's volleyball team came up just short at Limestone College on Friday night. The Saints took the first two sets before King won a marathon third set, before falling in the fourth 25-12 as Limestone ended King's seven match winning streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints broke a 7-7 tie with a 3-0 run and didn't relinquish the lead the rest of the set, stretching their lead to 17-13 at one point before taking the set 25-17.
- King tried to rebound in the second set, taking a 7-1 lead early, but the Saints came back following a 6-0 run to pull within 9-8. Limestone evened the set a 13-13 and took their first lead at 15-14 before the teams went back-and-forth down the stretch. The score was even at 19 before the Saints scored back-to-back points which led to the 25-23 victory.
- The Tornado tried to stay alive in the third set and it looked like they would taking an 18-13 lead following a Lauren Willoughby ace. However, with King leading 20-15, the Saints rolled off five straight points to even the set.
- King broke the streak and looked to take the set, leading 24-22, but the Saints again evened the score. Limestone took a 27-26 lead, but Ashleigh Manke registered a kill. Following a Saint point, she accounted for another as King took the set 29-27.
- However, the Saints broke the fourth set open with a 6-0 run that turned the score from 9-8 to 15-8 as Limestone went on to take the set 25-12 and the match 3-1.
- Manke led King with 15 kills, eight of which came in the third set victory.
- Willoughby and Sarah Collins followed with nine kills each. Collins hit .412 in the match to lead the Tornado.
- Serowski anchored the defense with 24 kills while Haley Roe added eight digs in two sets.
- Roe handed out 18 assists while Olivia Underwood handed out 19 helpers.
FOR THE FOES
- The Saints posted 12 blocks in the match, led by seven from Erin Courtenay, including to solo stuffs.
- Rycki Ebert led the Saints with 16 kills to go along with a team-high 19 digs four the double-double.
- Darla Svoboda followed with 10 kills and 10 digs for a double-double.
- Natalie Tucker also posted a double-double with 36 assists and 13 digs.
- Libero Jessica Onken also reached double figures in digs with 11.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- For Serowski the 24 digs set a career-high, breaking her previous best of 21 which she accomplished twice this season, including on Wednesday night at UVa-Wise.
