Box Score MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University baseball team opened what could be a key three game Conference Carolinas series at the University of Mount Olive on Tuesday evening. The Trojans showed a balanced offensive attack, scoring early and often to take the contest 9-2.

KING HIGHLIGHTS
- Sattz led the King offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and one run scored.
- Hunt added a pair of hits for the King offense.
- Bailey and Castaneda drove in one each and Keister scored one run.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Trojans opened the scoring in the first inning when Wallace ripped a double to left center that scored a pair.
- In the second inning, Mount Olive extended their lead as Orrison drove in one with a double before a groundout added another and Orrison later scored on a Lang sacrifice fly that gave Mount Olive a 5-0 lead.
- Koehler doubled to start the third inning, and Ragan followed with a single up the middle to score Koehler and stretch the lead to 6-0.
- Sattz tried to get the King offense going in the sixth inning when he ripped a leadoff double. Dayton followed with a single and Sattz scored on a Bailey groundout, cutting the King deficit to 6-1.
- However, Mount Olive matched that run in the bottom of the sixth when Surum walked and stole second before scoring in a wild pitch.
- Mount Olive then added tewo in the seventh, one on a wild pitch and another on a Surum single to center that scored Estes.
- Keister tried to start a Tornado rally in the bottom of the ninth with a leadoff single. He moved to third on an error and scored on a Castaneda sacrifice fly, but that was all King would get as Mount Olive took the game 9-2.
FOR THE FOES
- Orrison and Surum led Mount Olive with two hits and two runs scored apiece.
- Wallace drove in a pair from a balanced offensive attack.
