Box Score BRISTOL, Tenn. – For the second time this season, the King University women's volleyball team has won three straight matches. The Tornado came away with a 3-0 win over rival Lees-McRae College behind their stellar service attack.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tornado service attack leads all of NCAA Division II in aces per set, and the Tornado showed why in the first set, posting five aces in the 25-17 victory.
- Abby Anderson posted a pair of aces in the opening set while Becca Huddleston led the offense with four kills in the set.
- King scored the final four points of the opening stanza, including the final two on an ace from Amy Serowski and block from Emma Carico.
- Lees-McRae slowed the Tornado attack in the second set, but King tried to pull away with a 6-0 to take a 17-9 lead.
- Huddleston and Remi Thele registered back-to-back kills and Serowski served up another ace to cap the spurt.
- However, the Bobcats went on a 14-5 to take a 23-22 lead before Tornado head coach Dave Ulrich took a timeout.
- Out of the break, Thele registered her third kill of the set, and King went on to take the set 25-23.
- In the third set, King hit .258, their best attack percentage of the match and were led by Huddleston's four kills.
- Thele and Anderson both added three kills apiece to help lead the Tornado offense while Sydney Pigage added two service aces.
- King used a 9-1 run to turn an 11-9 lead into a 20-10 advantage. Huddleston had three kills on the spurt, and Pigage ended the run with an ace.
- Kayley Holtzclaw gave King the 25-14 win and the 3-0 sweep with her lone kill of the match.
- Huddleston led the way offensively for King with 10 kills and six digs while Thele followed with seven kills.
- Anderson handed out 23 assists and added eight digs and three service aces.
- Pigage matched Anderson's three aces to lead the team. She also added eight digs.
- Serowski led the defense with nine digs to go along with two aces.
FOR THE FOES
- Caitlyn Smirne led the Bobcats with nine kills while Lexi Zangari and Rachel Cutshaw chipped in with five kills apiece.
- Courtney Weathersbee posted 17 assist and six digs while Madison Martin led the defense with nine digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- King posted double digit aces for the third straight match and ninth time this season.
