Box Score HARROGATE, Tenn. – The King University women's volleyball team finished play at the Lincoln Memorial University Tournament with a match against Lee University. The Tornado fell in three sets to the Flames, 25-22, 25-13 and 25-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set was tight, and King used a 5-1 run to turn a deficit into a 13-11 lead. Cathy Scaniffe started the spurt with a kill, Abby Anderson served up back-to-back aces before a block from Scaniffe and Emma Carico gave King the two point advantage.
- However, the Flames responded with a 5-1 run of their own to take a 16-14 lead.
- Lee held their lead there for the remainder of the set, taking the frame 25-22.
- The Flame offense hit their stride in the second set, opening up a 13-7 lead to force a King timeout.
- That didn't slow Lee down, however, as the Flames took the set 25-13 behind a .355 attack percentage.
- The Flame offense continued to roll in the third set, quickly taking an 8-2 advantage. The Tornado deficit swelled to 12-2 before Tristyn Lozano got King back on the board with a kill.
- King fought back, pulling within 19-17 on a Scaniffe kill, but they couldn't get any closer as Lee took the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.
- Scaniffe led King with 10 kills while Lozano chipped in with seven.
- Anderson handed out 26 assists and added three service aces and four digs.
- Amy Serowski led the defense with 10 digs.
FOR THE FOES
- Silvia Sartori led the way for Lee with 13 kills while Quinne Daoust followed with eight.
- Sadie Johnson handed out 16 assists to go along with eight digs.
- MaKayla Beebe led the defense with 11 digs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Anderson was selected to the All-Tournament team.
UP NEXT
- King travels to the Erskine College Tournament next weekend, taking on UVa-Wise and Shorter University at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, the Tornado will take on Coker College at 10:00 a.m.
- Lee travels to take on Trevecca Nazarene University on Tuesday.
