MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The King University men's cross country team finished fifth at the Conference Carolinas Championships. The Tornado were led by all-conference performer Kyle Hart.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hart covered the distance in 27:20.8 to finish 14th and earn third team all-conference honors.
- Kade McDonald came in next for the Tornado with a time of 28:28.9.
- Crossing the tape next was Josh Booher with a personal best time of 28:25.9.
- Blaine Metcalf wasn't far behind, coming in with a time of 28:45.4.
- Jesus Pacheco crossed the finish line in 28:49.7.
- Coming in next was Jake Allison with a time of 29:27.1.
- Brandon Bejarano and Mason Thomas rounded out the team with times of 29:52.1 and 31:54.0, respectively.
FOR THE FOES
- Mount Olive won the individual title with the top six finishers while Emmanuel College finished second and Lees-McRae College finish third.
- The top six Mount Olive runners finished within 14 seconds with Tai Smith taking home the individual title with a time of 25:42.4.
UP NEXT
- King takes to the course again on November 9 at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional hosted by Wingate University in Wingate, N.C. The race is scheduled to start at 10:15 a.m.
