2019 USTFCCCA All-Region Performers

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Kirstin Barton of the King University women's cross country team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association of America (USTFCCCA) All-Southeast Region honors for the second straight season.

The honorees picked up the prestigious distinction by virtue of a top-25 finish at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional. Barton finished 18th, her best career finish at the event. At the event, Barton ran a personal best 6k time of 23:00.7 to lead the Tornado.

Last year, Barton earned all-region honors after finishing 20th. She is the seventh Tornado individual to earn all-region honors and the second to be a two-time all-region performer, joining Kendra Sokol in 2011 and 2012. In all, King has had nine all-region performers in program history.
