Tornado finish 10th at CC Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The King University men's track & field team finished 10th at the Conference Carolinas Championships. The 800 meters highlighted the meet for the Tornado as they took the top two spots.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Katy Neubert won the Conference Carolinas 800 meters title with a time of 2:23.76.
  • Meg Davis finished second with a time of 2:25.49.
  • In the 5000 meters, Rebekah Thomas finished eighth with a time of 20:04.27.
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of Whitney Christian, Claudia Gross, Neubert and Davis finished seventh with a time of 4:23.60.
  • The distance medley relay group of Brianna Barrett, Gross, Andrea Stansberry and Emily Sutherland finished in 15:30.50 to take eighth.

FOR THE FOES

  • The University of Mount Olive won the Conference Carolinas championship while Southern Wesleyan University came in second.
