BRISTOL, Tenn. – Braden White had a great week for the King University baseball team, winning both of his starts and leading King to a 4-2 week. On Tuesday, he was selected Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Week.
White continued his hot start to the season, running his record to 5-0 with a pair of wins last week. On Monday he tossed five innings, allowing two runs, one earned on six hits in a win at Chowan University where he struck out six. He then won game three against Barton College, giving King the series win on Sunday. In the contest, he allowed one run on four hits over six innings while striking out four. For the week he posted a 1.64 ERA and struck out 10 batters in 11 innings.
This is the first time White has been selected Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Week, and the second time this season a Tornado has won the award.
King is in action again on Wednesday when they travel to take on Mars Hill University at 2:00 p.m.
