Conference Carolinas Release
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The King University men's golf season was cut short due to the national pandemic of COVID-19. Conference Carolinas announced their all-conference team, comprised of seniors from each member school as Matthew Dalrymple, Noah Harkness and Miles Ruff were named to the team.
Dalrymple played in two rounds for the Tornado this year, both at the King University Invitational where he finished with a tournament score of 149 following a second round of one-over 72. In his career, the Lochwinnoch, U.K., native averaged 75.63 strokes per round and posted one top 10 finish. That top 10 came a season ago at the Battle at Hilton Head Island where she shot four-over 148. Dalrymple posted his low 54-hole score a season ago at the Matt Dyas Invitational, shooting one-under 215. His career-low round of three-under 69 came in the second round of the tournament where he finished 11th.
Harkness played in the King University Invitational each year. He posted his career-low round of 74 in 2017 and 2019. His low tournament score of 150 came in 2017 when he shot 74-76. For his career, he averaged 78.50 strokes per round.
In six tournaments this season, Ruff averaged 73.87 strokes per round, his lowest career average. He posted one top-five finish, his first since is freshmen season. The Canton, Ga., native started the season with a runner-up finish at the Mars Hill University Fall Invitational, shooting 71-69 for a total of four-under 140. He followed that by posting his career-low round of 68 in the second round of the King Invitational. In his career, Ruff averaged 76.32 strokes per round and posted his low 54-hole score of 218 last fall at the Queens Invitational. In 2016-17, Ruff recorded a hole-in-one at the TVA Credit Union Invitational on the eighth hole, a 185-yard par three.
